To Prevent Hair Falling Off
Wet the head occasionally in salt and water, and the hair will cease falling off.

Rest, and bathe in cold water. If the skin is unbroken, apply half a teaspoonful of arnica lotion to a tumblerful of water; soft linen rags wet with this lotion to be applied, and changed as often as they become warm and dry.

When the lips, gums and tongue are dry in acute diseases, they should be washed several times daily with glycerine, diluted with an equal quantity of water. A little lemon juice or a few drops of rosewater can be added to make it more pleasant to the patient.
